I've written some about the new (open access) paper by Stephan Lewandowsky, John Cook and Elisabeth Lloyd, which Contrail Chook mentioned recently: The ‘Alice in Wonderland’ mechanics of the rejection of (climate) science: simulating coherence by conspiracism.

The HotWhopper article is more about the reactions from the denialati, whose protests include logical fallacies, conspiracy ideation, and science denial - anything to avoid addressing the paper itself.
